DENPASAR – Dua PB bernama besar di Jakarta kini menjadi bidikan Pengprov PBSI Bali untuk menjadi tempat Training Centre atau Training Camp (TC) bagi tiga pebulutangkis putri Bali yang lolos PON XXI/2024 di Aceh dan Sumatera Utara (Sumut). Dua tempat itu yakni PB Jaya Raya dan PB Exist disamping bidikan tempat lainnya.
Diungkapkan Manager tim bulutangkis PON Bali Iwan Tantrawan, soal pencarian tempat TCitu dilakukan untuk para atlet bulutangkis Bali di luar daerah. Semua itu sesuai dengan proyeksi Pengprov PBSI Bali dalam meningkatkan kemampuan para atlet jelang PON 2024.
“Terkait dengan pencarian tempat TC seperti PB Jaya Raya atau PB Exist dan lainnya, masih dalam tahap dikoordinasikan,” tutur Iwan Tantrawan ketika dihubungi, Kamis (4/1/2024)
Selain itu lanjutnya, beberapa tempat itu masih digodok untuk memaksimalkan latihan tiga atlet bulutangkis Bali. Namun, untuk kepastian dan lanjutannya masih dimatangkan lagi.
“Semua itu maish dibahas pengurus Pengprov PBSI Bali. Masih cari yang terbaik dan memungkinan. Yang masuk bidikan saat ini seperti Jaya Raya dan Exist. Namun tidak menutup kemungkinan juga yang lainnya,” terang Tantrawan.
Seperti diketahui, Ketua Umum Pengprov PBSI Bali, Wayan Winurjaya sebelumnya sempat mengutarakan idealnya tiga atlet bulutangkis Bali yang lolos PON itu dilakukan TC di Pulau Jawa.
Langkah ini sebagai upaya memaksimalkan waktu latihan para atlet. Karena, untuk pelatihan di luar Bali itu cukup ketat dan bisa menjalani latihan 12 kali dalam sepekan.
“Sementara latihan di Bali hanya 6 kali saja latihan. Melihat volume latihan itu kurang optimal. Makanya diarahkan ke luar daerah,” jelasnya.
Sedangkan pemusatan latihan itu sendiri, Winurjaya mengaku setidaknya para atlet yang lolos PON itu sudah mulai melakukan pemusatan kurang lebih selama 6 bulan sebelum kegiatan.
Dengan demikian sesuai dengan agenda PBSI. Dan pemusatan latihan itu bisa diagendakan mulai Februari 2024 mendatang. Saat ini, dirinya telah berkoordinasi dengan KONI Bali terkait rencana itu.
“Kami sudah mulai komunikasikan rencana itu serta semoga KONI Bali juga melihat dan mempertimbangkan rencana pemusatan latihan itu,” tutup Winurjaya. (ari/jon)
