DENPASAR – Hanya tinggal satu cabang olahraga (cabor) saja yang belum melakoni Babak Kualifikasi (BK) PON 2023. Cabor tersebut tak lain yakni Renang Kolam.
Setelah itu selesai maka KONI Bali sudah bisa melakukan rekap jumlah cabor dan jumlah total atlet yang lolos PON XXI/2024 di Aceh dan Sumatera Utara (Sumut). Renang kolam sendiri bakal melakoni BK PON pada 12 – 15 Desember 2023.
Menurut Ketua Umum KONI Bali IGN Oka Darmawan, selain Renang Kolam sampai saat ini sudah semua cabor melakoni BK PON 2023. Pada November 2023 beberapa cabor telah melakoni BK PON seperti Biliar dan Panahan.
“Kami memang masih menungu sampai semua cabor di Bali mengikuti BK PON 2023. Semua itu penting untuk memastikan berapa jumlah cabor dan atlet Bali yang lolos PON 2024. Sekaligus itu nantinya untuk laporan ke Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Bali,” kata Oka Darmawan di KONI Bali, Rabu (13/12/2023).
Pada awal tahun 2024 lanjutnya, maka KONI Bali mulai konsentrasi untuk pembinaan para atlet tersebut. Selain itu, para atlet yang saat ini sudah dinyatakan lolos sudah melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan.
Sementara yang belum rampung akan dilakukan secara bertahap.
“Kalau pemeriksaan kesehatan itu sudah dilakukan November 2023 lalu. Semua yang lolos di cek dan dilakukan evaluasi serta langkah yang diambil ke depannya,” terang mantan Wakil Ketua I dan Sekretaris Umum (Sekum) KONI Bali itu,” tambahnya.
Sampai saat ini diakui Oka Darmawan, Bali sudah meloloskan sekitar 548 atlet dari berbagai cabor ke PON 2024 mendatang. Jumlah tersebut belum termasuk dari cabor dayung yang masih dalam perekapan data oleh PB PODSI.
“Untuk Dayung masih di data atlet yang lolos. Mereka sudah menggelar kegiatannya hanya saja masih menunggu data yang lolos. Sementara renang baru pertengahan Desember ini,” tandas mantan Ketua Umum Pengprov Perbasi Bali itu. (ari/jon)
