KUTSEL – Apel HUT Kemerdekaan ke-78 Republik Indonesia (RI) di wilayah Kecamatan Kuta Selatan dipusatkan di Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park. Ada lebih dari 2 ribu peserta yang hadir, termasuk para siswa sekolah dasar.
Pimpinan GWK Cultural Park, Stefanus Yonathan Astayasa menuturkan, kegiatan upacara serangkaian Festival Kemerdekaan 2023 di GWK Cultural Park merupakan hasil kerja sama pihaknya dengan Kecamatan Kuta Selatan.
Selain upacara bendera, festival dihiasi berbagai kegiatan lain, seperti lomba-lomba bernuansa kemerdekaan, Tari Kecak Kemerdekaan, pentas musik dari band lokal dan nasional, serta pertunjukan 5000 shot kembang api spektakuler.
“Tari Kecak Kemerdekaan ini memang spesial hanya kami suguhkan di Hari Kemerdekaan ini saja. Jumlah penari yang terlibat kurang lebih sama, bedanya ada pada konsep yang dipentaskan. Sehingga ada nuansa gabungan antara budaya Bali dengan Indonesia,” ungkapnya ditemui sesaat setelah upacara.
Diakui dia, jika dibandingkan dengan tahun lalu, peringatan Hari Kemerdekaan di GWK Cultural Park pada tahun ini memang jauh lebih beda. Karena pada peringatan sebelumnya, acara hanya menggandeng sejumlah sekolah dengan peserta yang tidak lebih dari 200 orang.
“Jadi tahun ini memang luar biasa. Karena antusiasme dari kecamatan sangatlah tinggi. Mereka merasa bahwa euphoria kemerdekaan ini harus lebih meriah. Apalagi ini merupakan momen yang pas, karena sudah tidak lagi dalam situasi pandemi. Dan ini, juga untuk meningkatkan pariwisata Bali,” sambungnya.
Bukan hanya itu, di Hari Kemerdekaan ini, pihaknya juga memberikan diskon tiket spesial untuk warga ber-KTP Bali. Tiket bersangkutan dapat digunakan untuk menikmati semua suguhan dalam rangkaian peringatan HUT ke-78 RI, termasuk mengikuti lomba dan menyaksikan festival musik.
“Target kami awalnya adalah sebanyak 8 ribu pengunjung. Tapi kemarin, penjualan sudah hampir 6 ribuan. Jadi ekspektasi kami sampai 10 ribuan orang yang akan memadati GWK hari ini,” ucapnya sembari menyebut bahwa lomba-lomba yang diselenggarakan adalah khas Hari Kemerdekaan, seperti panjat pinang, bakiak, enggrang, balap karung, tarik tambang, dan makan krupuk. Hadiahnya mulai dari merchandise, voucher, hingga uang tunai.
Untuk diketahui, dalam peringatan HUT RI tahun ini, GWK juga menggaungkan kepedulian terhadap budaya literasi sejak dini melalui Kirab Budaya Nusantara bertemakan ‘Nusantara Tempo Doeloe’.
Kegiatan mengundang 500 siswa dan siswi SDN 04 Jimbaran ke GWK Cultural Park, untuk diberi kesempatan tampil dengan pakaian adat dari Sabang sampai Merauke.
“Kirab Budaya Nusantara ini sejalan dengan kegiatan CSR Budaya Literasi yang secara berkelanjutan diselenggarakan GWK Cultural Park. Kami ingin masyarakat luas mengenal GWK sebagai destinasi wisata yang terus melaju ke depan sesuai trend dunia, tetapi tidak pernah lupa untuk mengakar pada identitas dan budaya bangsa,” pungkasnya.
